Serving for VIFOR India, he is a lion member since 1993-94. He received number of awards during his tenure as the president. He received an award in recognition of his earnest & enthusiastic efforts to promote lionism and create club identity and for sponsoring 10 new members in the lions family. He also received an award for preparing the best scrapbook. He received appreciation for international standard club banner & for his eye donation project; He was also honoured as best secretary under president ship of Lion Jagdish Pandya.

He was president of lions club of Gandhidham in 2000-01, the earthquake year. He organized medical surgery & set up temporary hospital at hotel Mid Town jointly with Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune & Divine life hospital to meet the medical requirements of the earthquake victims. He supplied generators to hospitals, which were operational for over a month. He also arranged the Jaipur foot camp with KPT to provide artificial limbs to people who had lost their limbs in the earthquake. He arranged donations worth Rs 3 lakhs for the reconstruction of the Lions club building, which was damaged during the earthquake; he also took charge of the reconstruction and finished it within 2 months. He also arranged donations for shav-vahini costing Rs. 8.5 lakhs to the lions club of Gandhidham during the tenure of lion Dhiren Mehta. He was awarded the best president award of district 323-J & also of multiple districts.

During his tenure the club won the best club award, he won the best president award. He arranged medical camps, which provided ayurvedic, homeopathic & allopathic treatment. These medical camps were in border areas in coordination with the armed forces. Maximum number of free cataract camps were held during his tenure. Also heart disease diagnosis camp along with Doppler testing & T.B diagnosis camp in coordination with Red Cross association of Gandhidham were organized. He started a permanent project of oxygen cylinder bank with the Arya Samaj. He organized mahotsav ’99 -dance fest jointly with Kandla Port Trust, performed by dancers from Czech republic & from Mallika Sarabhai’s troupe, which was greatly appreciated by the public. During his tenure the club joined with the KPT for the construction of a children’s garden. For the first time Navratri was celebrated for the full 9 days. He arranged district cabinet meeting at his farmhouse.

He is the principal of Tolani Polytechnic College & a lion member since 1986-87. Some of the best achievements of our club were during the tenure of lion Daryani, a towering personality. Biggest achievement was the sponsoring of the Lion's club of Anjar by the lions club of Gandhidham after a big gap of 20 years. During his tenure the club received the best club award of district 323- J for the first time. The club sponsored the first international twinning team of doctors from California district 4L6 who provided medical assistance at Divine life hospital, Adipur.

He formed Lioness & Leo club of Gandhidham during his tenure. He supported the campaign trail of lion Hiralal Chawla for his election as V.D.G. He arranged a relief camp at the club premises for almost 130 days for cyclone-affected people. He coordinated distribution of relief material in Kandla and villages surrounding Gandhidham & Adipur. He also had the honour of launching the lions quest program in Kutch in the year 1999-2000.

He is a businessman and an industrial consultant. He was the first lion from Gandhidham to receive the best secretary award under president ship of lion Dr. D.P. Singh. He had the honour of serving as first district cabinet treasurer of district 323 J in the year 1997-98. During his tenure he started a permanent project of shav-vahini, which continues to serve the society till date. He organized a regional conference & also a kavi samelan as fundraiser and raised amount of Rs.1.5 lakhs.

He completed 100 projects during his tenure. He visited Rambagh hospital & Mata Laxmi Institute for deaf & dumb at Adipur to distribute fruits & gifts every month. He felicitated the teachers of blind school at Adipur on the occasion of teachers’ day. For the first time a 2-day raas garba competition was held during Navratri. He started a tradition to present mementoes to lion members on their birthdays and wedding anniversaries. He was awarded a 100% attendance award & an international award.

During his tenure all the activities were sponsored so there was no burden on the club of a single penny. Also, for the first time, the Region Conference was held outside G'dham at Bhachau. Not only this, he, with lion lady Kavita Sajnani, attended the international convention at Miami U.S.A to vote for lion Rohit Mehta who subsequently became the first Indian President of Lion International. He organized inter school volleyball & kho-kho tournaments for secondary & higher secondary students of Gandhidham, Adipur & Kandla. He was also honoured with the 100% attendance award.

He is serving to Iffco as a JOINT GENERAL Manager in Electrical Department. He is a Lion Member since 1982-83. During his tenure he held a mega cataract operation camp at suthri village with help of khona hospital. He also organized a gazal program with famous gazal singer Peenaz Masani for raising funds. He has distinction of winning the best secretary award during 323b & last year he won multiple award for green city clean city. Personally lion Devlekar is President with Iffco Co-Operative society. He was also elected as first zone chairman of 323J, He is a District chairperson NGO LIAISON for the current year.
